The Lesotho Cricket Association is a member of the Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (L.S.R.C.) and the Lesotho National Olimpic Committee (L.N.O.C).
Internationally, LCA is a member of the Africa Cricket Association as well as the International Cricket Council....The LCA was established in 1995 and registered with the L.S.R.C. in the same year. It was accepted as an affiliate member of the ICC in 2001.
The LCA’s main mandate is to administer and manage all Cricket activities in the mountain kingdom. As a sport, Cricket offers alternative oppotunities to all Basotho Man and Boys, Girls and Women of different ages cohorts and backgrounds for recreation.
Cricket Unites, Inspire and Greates a positive influense on the lives of people and empower them. It is these social roles that LCA thrives to offer to the Basotho nation through improving competitiveness at international level, Working to run world class global qualification competition programme,
strenthening the capacity of Coaches, Umpires and Administrators, Increased Domestic Competitions involving the comunity as well as all stakeholders, Exploring new Avenues, Increasing and Empowering WomenAND Girls in all aspects of the geme, It is imperative to note that to attain all the above , the media has to be involved, hence our commitment.
